I want to make people feel. I’ve stepped into UX design from a collaborative storytelling background as a theatre artist, a creative problem solver, and a passionate advocate for mission driven projects. The philosophy, principles, and process of UX/IxD informs my work regardless of medium or field. In theatre, fitness, and within tech companies, I create physical and digital spaces for people to experience and connect to their emotions and deepen their exploration of the world around them.
Originally from Washington, DC with a BFA in Theatre Arts: Performance from Boston University, I moved to Seattle in October 2009 for an artistic internship at Seattle Repertory Theatre. Being an artist in Seattle has allowed me the freedom to move not only between theatre and film but also between actor, director, and dramaturg; occasional stage manager, producer, often assistant and always collaborator.
Over the last 7+ years, I've had the pleasure of working with many companies in Seattle including; Seattle Repertory Theatre, Book It Repertory Theatre, ACT, the Satori Group, and Cafe Nordo, as well as co-founding Umbrella Project- a network dedicated to furthering the life of new plays in Seattle and beyond that merges the role of dramaturg with that of producer. I've also spent 3+ years in the tech startup community doing sales, partnerships, and business development as part of small, agile teams wearing many hats for companies including Pogo and EveryMove.
I'm constantly excited by beginnings. Stress baker. Cookbook collector.
